Going Up The Country
Yo. I’ve totally neglected this blog recently, life getting in the way, and now I can’t remember what I wanted to mention. Stuff happened, it was cool, etc.
Tonight is my last night in London, tomorrow morning I get in a van and drive my life to North Wales to live in a caravan on the side of a valley with the woman I love. When I moved here from Brighton over 2 years ago I said that it would either make me or break me, and while I don’t think it’s gone to either extreme I’m certainly leaving a different person to who I was, with a different understanding of my work, Art & the art world. I love London, it’s an incredible place, and the drive and creativity that it harbours in the people and places is an incredible inspiration that frowns on laziness. But it’s a hard place too, and recently I’ve been unable to spend time on my work and neglected enjoying the present, and I’m too poor to live here, and the underground & buses are an increasingly horrible experience. The time I’ve spent in the countryside recently has been amazing, and I’m more excited than I can explain to be moving there, to have time and space to make work, chop wood, walk the dogs and to be with the best woman ever.

Is this permanent?! You will be missed by us left behind Mr Pheonix!
It is. I shall miss your cheeky face too sir, but I shall be back!
Blimey. Well good luck wit the big move! Look forward to seeing what the countryside brings out of you. Post photos of the countryside too – I miss it
